DLP Technology can be used in many applications outside of projection. One type of sensor-type application that utilizes DLP technology is spectroscopy. By using the DMD to optically select wavelengths of interest, a spectrum can be generated which can inform users on the composition of the material being scanned. Applications range from petrochemical quality measurements to food safety.
